Learning, Literacies, & Identities
I examine voluntary learning, seeking to understand the stories and experiences that forge a path to becoming. I attend to people, stories, and spaces through analyses of discourses, narratives, and practices. I have three overarching goals with my research: 1) examine lesser known pathways that can contribute to a richer theory of learning, 2) identify and amplify voices previously marginalized in the social sciences, and 3) disrupt normative narratives about success and knowledge in our society.
